The City of Oskaloosa officially became the County Seat of Jefferson County, Kansas, in 1864. As County Seat, the City is home to the courthouse, law enforcement, ambulance and fire stations, post office, various restaurants, variety stores, gas stations and medical offices. MUNICIPAL QUICK NOTES:

LABOR DAY: City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 1st

in observance of the Labor Day Holiday. Trash Service

will run ONE DAY late for residential pickup.

The Oskaloosa Municipal Swimming Pool closed Tuesday, August 19th, for the 2008 summer season. I would like to thank all patrons who visited the swimming pool. I hope to see you next summer.
